As part of developing our Community Emergency Plan, Forrabury & Minster Parish Council is now inviting residents to register as Community Volunteers.
The aim is simple: neighbours helping neighbours when events such as flooding, prolonged power cuts, severe weather, or telecoms failures affect our parish.
Community volunteers might help with simple but important tasks such as:
• Checking on neighbours who may need support
• Sharing information and updates locally
• Helping set up or assist at the Community Hub if the plan is activated
• Passing information to the Community Emergency Team
You don’t need special skills, and you won’t be asked to put yourself at risk.
Volunteers will only ever be asked to help within their comfort level and ability, and participation is entirely voluntary.
