Speed Signs

The Parish Council has installed three radar activated speed signs on each of the primary roads into Boscastle.

The signs show the driver of vehicles the following information

Speed from 9 to 20mph – THANK YOU with vehicle speed

Speed from 21 to 30mph – SLOWDOWN with vehicle speed

Speed from over 31mph – TOO FAST without vehicle speed

Each sign also captures speed data (NOT Vehicle data) and gives information on the speed of each vehicles that passes the sign in which ever direction.

If the Vehicle is coming toward the sign it is INCOMING.

If the vehicle is going in the opposite direction to the sign it is OUTGOING.

Key to data: NYA = not yet available, n/a = not available

Number of Vehicles = number of vehicles passing the sign

Average Speed = average of collective vehicle speeds

Max Speed = highest speed of a vehicle passing the sign
