The Parish Council are trialling a series of Parish Councillor community surgeries which allows residents of the parish to come and meet Councillors and have an informal conversation to raise any issues or concerns relating to the area where you live.
All such surgeries will have a minimum of two Parish Councillors present. There is no need to make an appointment in advance. It would be helpful to know the nature of the query in advance by emailing the Clerk, but this is not essential. The surgeries are open to those living in the Parish and Parish Councillors will listen and, if appropriate, offer any advice that is politically neutral and impartial. A summary of the surgery findings may be reported back to the Council if appropriate.
Parish Councillors will be acting in the capacity of a Councillor and will be adhereing to the Council’s Code of Conduct at all times. Anyone displaying abusive or threatening language or behaviour will be asked to leave.
This will be trialed on a monthly basis for a few months and, depending on uptake, the Parish Council will make a decision regarding the future offering.
