Scope
Over several years, the council have noticed an increase in pedestrians using unsafe routes up and down the village. Whilst the Council have erected signs at some locations previously, these have not had the desired impact.
To facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians around the village the Council is considering a pedestrian sign system to clearly signpost safe pedestrian routes, highlight key village markers and to sign a village circular walk for visitors using existing pathways.
The council are proposing (and it is only a proposal at this stage) to erect finger post signs at strategic locations around the village, to guide visitors to key locations and a village circular walk.
The aim is to guide walkers safely around the village whilst giving visitors a better perspective of the village and its history.
