Thank you to everyone who took part in the Parish Council’s recent survey on the Paradise Triangle re-wilding project and biodiversity priorities within the parish. A total of 49 responses were received.
The results showed broad support for biodiversity initiatives, with many respondents recognising the importance of supporting wildlife and pollinators. Views on the Paradise Triangle itself were more nuanced – 67% of responders expressed support for continuing the project, with a number of those residents suggesting improvements to its appearance, management and interpretation.
The survey findings were considered by Forrabury and Minster Parish Council at its meeting on 11th June 2026. Following discussion, councillors resolved to continue the project with some changes. These will include improved signage to better explain the purpose of the area, the creation of a more definite edge to help distinguish the managed wildflower area from regularly maintained grass, and inviting Cormac’s rewilding officer to visit the site and provide further advice on its future development.
The Council would like to thank all residents who took the time to complete the survey and provided feedback. The results have helped ensure that future decisions reflect the views of the community while supporting biodiversity within the parish.
