Forrabury and Minster Parish Council recently welcomed Cornwall Council Leader Councillor Leigh Frost and colleagues to the parish for a constructive discussion about local issues and challenges.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss a range of topics affecting our community, including consultation and engagement, rural access to services, public transport, education, healthcare and the challenges faced by communities in North Cornwall.
Councillor Frost spoke openly about the significant financial pressures facing Cornwall Council and the difficult decisions that continue to be required across local government. Parish Councillors highlighted the importance of ensuring that rural communities are heard and that local concerns are properly reflected in decision-making.
The meeting was positive and productive, with Councillor Frost expressing his commitment to maintaining clear and open communication with town and parish councils across Cornwall.
The Parish Council would like to thank Councillor Frost, Councillor Mark Burnett, Councillor Nicky Chopak, Community Link Officer Sarah Bull and colleagues for taking the time to visit the parish. Councillor Frost indicated that he hopes to make a further formal visit to Forrabury and Minster next year.
