The play area can be found in the playing field situated at the junction of Under Road and Green Lane.
Routine Playground Inspections
The Play area is annually inspected by RoSPA, (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents).
The play area is located at the side of the football pitch and is inspected monthly by a team of Councillors where their primary function is to identify faults or dangers arising from misuse or breakage. Regularly, Councillors will try and rectify issues such as litter removal, making sure items are secure and the surfaces are undamaged.
All children’s playgrounds should be inspected annually by an independent specialist to ensure the long-term safety of the site, equipment and ancillary items. Annual inspections also meet legal and insurance responsibilities as well as complying with the requirements of EN1176 (the European Playground Standard).
